"Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels!"
- "Finch" (David Spade's Character on Just Shoot Me)
Hmmmmm... spending almost ALL my spare time (what little I have) trying to build this pain-in-the-ass web site, that's what's new! Only the selected few that have my site addy, KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!
As Joicey would say, "JEEEEEZUS"!! ;)
April 10 -- Well shit, I burned up my scanner while working on this thing! Feel free to contribute to my unfortunate cause... SEND MONEY NOW!!! This sux!
Two days later and I'm no longer doing without a scanner. Can these things get any thinner...?! It is a beeeautiful thing though; this computer techno shit. :)
Okay, they really need to get better help at Staples. This guy, other than looking like Edward Scissor Hands, didn't know a damn thing about scanners or programs. NOTHING! JEEEZUS!
Nevermind Dude, I'll get it my damn self!
April 27 -- What's new...? Nothing, except for the fact that people are telling me that I'm beginning to worry them - that I just haven't been myself within the past week. They're right... I have no excuses (shrugging).
What is it about a computer/internet that addicts us? Why do we dedicate so much of our lives in the PC chair instead of enjoying the things that we used to? I'm so drawn into completing this site and I have NO idea WHY. Nobody cares about how much time, sweat and dedication it takes to launch a quality site, usually about one's life and/or personality. It only matters if it has what they need to build their own. The world is a greedy and self-centered place. On the other hand, I bought this thing and it's equipment that provides about everything I need to go with it. I pay the electric bill and the rent. I go to work every day (unless I feel like calling in to spend quality time with my PC). It's all mine, especially my time and I'll do what ever I choose to do with it damnit! Wanna spend your time more wisely? Then take your kids to the park or just sit down with them to hear about what's going on in THEIR lives. Wrap your arms around them and squeeze and kiss them 'til they can't take it anymore. Spend some time with your significant other and tell her/him how much you need and love them. After about an hour of following the instructions above, they'll WANT you to go back to your computer desk!! HOME FREE! :)
OH MY GOD! Lot's has happened THIS weekend! I chaparoned my daughter, Hilari's, Science Olympiad class to Michigan State University to compete in the annual State Science Competition. It's the largest State Competition in the country and the first time that our little town has ever made it past Regionals. Hilari and her teammate, Maggie, won 2nd place in the Chemistry Competition (out of 48 teams in the state of Michigan!)! WOOO HOOO! The biggest thing that's happened in this town in a long time and they finally put us on the map!! This is a great honor and I'm proud to be her mother. Maybe I WON'T have to work for the rest of my life after all. It ended up to be a great weekend, we spent lot's of mother-daughter quality time together and there was no computer. I'll be adding pics of the huge event so stay tuned!!
